Money doesn’t grow on trees

by Josh Newsome on Nov.08, 2007, under Life, School

Ok, so lately I have been spending money like it is going out of style. Last night, I did a late night trip to Wal Mart and spent $43. What did I buy? JUNK! I went in there for a can of compressed air, chapstick, and deodorant. Well I came out with the chapstick, and the deodorant, but NO COMPRESSED AIR! That was really my main reason for wanting to go. Want to know what I ended up buying?

I bought all of that, – the can of air.. PLUS a whole lot of groceries. a;lkfjl;skdjg;lskdjg;lsdkjfg;sru;glsdkfjg I can’t believe myself.

Anyways, went to school today.. had math and public speaking. Another day, that I didn’t have to present my speech. I am liking this. I really don’t want to have to present my speech, but I know I will have to on Monday. But they had some really cool topics. This one girl did hers on homosexuals adopting children. She was all for it, and I loved it. I told her when she sat down that I really enjoyed her speech. I really hope that she gets a good grade. I am still pretty nervous about mine.

So I got home today, and what did I find?!?! My new wireless keyboard! Sooo happy. It is awesome. But right now I am not using it. I am using my regular keyboard. I don’t know why. I guess because I haven’t gotten used to the keys yet, so I still want to use this one for right now. It will take me a couple of days. But the more that I type on it, the better i will get. I just wanted to hurry and finish this.

Well I am uber tired, so I think I am going to lay down and see if I can sleep some of this tiredness off. Hopefully I can stay warm.

Later,

Josh

Extermporaneous Speaking

by Josh Newsome on Oct.03, 2007, under Life, School, Work

Today is the the day. I have my speech ready and I am hopefully ready. I turned in my nutrition project today too, and think that it was about as good as it was going to get. But all studying for my speech is pretty much done, because they are doing maintenance on things down in the lobby at school, so it is quite loud. I had to put on head phones and turn on my music to block out some of the noise.

So this week I am house-sitting for my aunt.. again. This week she is on a cruise. I am just waiting for her to ask me if I want to go on vacation with her sometime, instead of her always wanting me to house sit. I like to go on vacation.

School has been stressing me out, but not only school, but WORK! If I am not at school, I am at work. I only have one day a week when I have the whole day to myself. Although, not sure what I am doing this Thursday on my day off. Last week I hung out at my friend Lindsey’s house. That was super fun. I should do that again maybe? There are a few things I would like to do, but truthfully I will probably end up staying at my aunts house with Rudy, Will and Doc. I need to take pictures of them and put them on here they are so cute.

So I don’t really have anything else to say, I just wanted to put this up because I had a friend say that I hadn’t put a lot on here. HI EMILY!!!

Everyday…

by Josh Newsome on Sep.12, 2007, under Life, School, Work

Everyday being something new I guess. I don’t know the meaning of the headline or the first sentence of this blog. I just didn’t know what to call it, or how to start it off.

So I guess an update is in store since I haven’t posted in awhile. I have a nice new computer.. or well.. not new, but new to me. I also got a “new” iPod, which is really an older model. Oh well! It works, and it works well. It has what I want out of an iPod. I bought it at a GREAT price too. The laptop was $400 and the iPod was $50. Both in very good condition. I have fallen in LOVE with this laptop already. The iPod is great too. I could go on forever.

School has been alright. Just really trying to make sure and study, and make good grades.

Other than that, nothing is really new. Everything is the same. I have no real life.

Oh.. but at work I am getting a raise and I am going to be a regular cashier. That is exciting.

College life

by Josh Newsome on Aug.24, 2007, under School

So I have completed my first week of college. And although on paper in my classes I am not supposed to be there, I am not going to let that defer me . I am enjoying everything so far. Nothing that seems too hard. I am taking a public speaking class, and well that one will probably be my hardest class. But I think that I cam manage. Right now I am sitting here waiting for my 12:30 class. Lovely remedial math. *feels his chin* Darn I need to shave.

Anyways, I am getting used to my 8 o’clock class. I just wish that it was a little bit more interesting. It is a health class, and health and I do not get along. But I don’t see this class being too difficult. It seems like it is just a class that is there to say, your lifestyle is wrong because you don’t exercise enough, and you eat horribly. Oh well, already knew that.

My remedial math class doesn’t seem too challenging as of yet. But I do think that is was beneficial to take it since I forget all my math so easily. It is one of those things that if you don’t use it, you ultimately loose it. That is one of the main reasons I wish I had of taken French or some sort of foreign language. I feel that I am loosing everything. I need to start brushing up on my French.

Alright, I think I have bored myself enough. I am going to figure out something else to do.

Josh
